Aware™ Technology was founded to bring to market a valuable new paradigm for spreadsheet, financial and mathematical modeling. Specifically, a "permutation enabled" model has built in intelligence that allows the model to automatically "permute" or change from one original form into another one of many alternate forms. Users trigger this permutation process by context-sensitive events, such as when you enter a value into a formula cell or when you click on a toolbar speedbutton or menu command.
Thus, a "polymorphic
model" is one that can take on many different forms, i.e., poly means
"many" and morphic means "form." Simply put, we have invented a way to
take one model and turn it into many alternate forms for you to use, i.e.,
"polymorphic modeling." That is why we say, "our models know
how to change." The Patented Aware technology provides a wide range of
controls and behaviors for model permutation, such as, single, interactive, multiple and
user defined permutation controls. These controls and behaviors provide an almost
limitless range of model permutations to leverage a single user defined model into many

The bottom line is to provide a productivity increase for both developers and
users. Developers and users can build a single model and get back multiple models
to leverage their work and optimize both development speed and size, and analytical
productivity. We call this analytical approach "What-if Modeling"
because it answers the question, "what happens if my model changes before it performs
my what-if analysis?" Whereas what-if analysis changes inputs to calculate results,
what-if modeling changes the model first, and then performs the what-if analysis. Thus,
what-if modeling can answer many more analytical questions for greater insight and
productivity.
This new paradigm originates with the Patent for "Polymorphic Enhanced Modeling," 6,292,810. Aware™ Technology is both a developer using the patent to develop products and the licensing agent for the patent. Our goals are 1) to license the Patent to developers for use in their own development efforts, 2) to demonstrate the viability and value of the technology through product development of showcase products which utilize the Patented technology, and 3) to license these showcase products directly to end users who will realize tremendous productivity gains when they use these products.
